The Tony Elumelu Foundation has reportedly contributed US$100,000 to the National Task Force on Ebola to help combat the deadly virus in Liberia.

The Foundation is engineered to spur the African economy through promoting competitiveness and growth in the private sector and is focused on charting a new course for African philanthropy. It is a pioneer member of the Global Impact Investment Rating System (GIIRS).
The symbolic check of US$100,000 was presented to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 by UBA-Liberia Chief Risk Officer, Mr. Tosha Browne.
