A level 17 official in the Kogi state pension board has lost his life days after he allegedly received a sack letter from the state government.
Mr. Alphonsus Ameh was sacked last week due to his alleged involvement in fraudulent diversion of N225, 936, 425. 72 million pensioners’ fund, a statement by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Yahaya Bello, Mr. Petra Onyegbule, said.
He died on Monday of high blood pressure at the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja.
Four other officers were sacked by the state government.
