United States President, Donald Trump was on a diplomatic call to the newly elected Irish prime minister, congratulating him on his recent election win.
But while President Trump was having the teleconference with Ireland’s first gay PM Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, he got distracted. He singled out a female reporter and called her to his desk.
Telling Mr Varadkar over the phone, ‘We have a lot of your Irish press watching us. They’re just now leaving the room’, footage shows him spotting one of the ‘beautiful’ members of the press and telling her to come to him.
‘And where are you from? Go ahead, come here. Where are you from? We have all of this beautiful Irish press. Where are you from?’
The reporter, who identified herself as Caitriona Perry from RTE, then walks over to the desk and Donald Trump told her she has a ‘beautiful smile on her face’ in the presence of the camera, and other journalists.
