The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) is set to adopt the Anambra state Education policy which involves a partnership between churches and the government. The churches run the school while government provides the required fund.
After a tour of schools in Anambra state Executive Secretary of UBEC, Sulaiman Diko, said, he was impressed by the Anambra State education policy. He sought the permission of the Anambra state Governor,Peter Obi to adopt the policy in other states.
Governor Obi, however warned that the success of the policy depends on if money is released directly to the church without passing through several points at which the quantity is reduced.
