Emmanuel David, a 22 year old unemployed man was today arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly assaulting two policemen.
David, who resides at No.67b Ezeagu St., Ajegunle, Lagos allegedly beat up one Sgt. Sunday Ohikuare beating him to a pulp and causing bodily harm in the process. David also punched police constable, Olowoleso Bamidele for trying to intervene in the fight between him and Ohikuare.
When taking his plea, David however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N10, 000 with one surety in like sum while the case was adjourned the case to March. 7 for trial.
