On Friday, gunmen attacked Kashimbilla community in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba, killing two persons and kidnapping two women, including a pregnant woman. Several houses were also burnt down.
Mr Mark Useni, member of the Taraba House of Assembly, representing Takum II Constituency, confirmed the attack to newsmen in Jalingo. He said, t"wo women, including a pregnant lady, were taken hostage by the attackers".
Mr Joseph Kwaji, Taraba state Police command also confirmed the incident, however, said only one person was killed. He also alleged that the gunmen were from Benue, and added that the command was currently investigating the attack.
