The tragic hajj stampede in Saudi Arabia last Thursday according to recent reports injured or killed 117 Nigerians.
According to Thisday 56 Nigerians died from the stampede and 61 were also injured.
A total of 769 pilgrims from all over the world lost their lives during the stampede with over 800 injured.
However some bodies are still unidentified and some pilgrims are still missing.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria yesterday night expressed hopes that the missing pilgrims could still be found, and that committees have been set up to intensify search for them.
