The embattled Ekiti state governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has claimed that his 2014 elections was funded by Zenith Bank Plc, friends, families, and well-wishers. Fayose said this at a press briefing yesterday. According to him, Zenith bank, donations and sales of political souvenirs all formed the sources of the funds he used for his campaign. He also denied claims of receiving any money from former NSA, Sambo Dasuki.
However, Zenith bank denied the claims, saying the banks does not fund campaigns as it is against corporate policy, instead, Zenith bank has dealings with all political parties only in the area of funding but as account holders.
