Prof. Attahiru Jega, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said this during a meeting organised by the Civil Society Election Situation Room and Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre, that till the 2015 election has arrived that voter registration would continue as the electoral laws provides for continuous voter registration.
He also recognised that the commission appreciated the challenges it met and would work towards solving such challenges, but insisted that the recorded lapses and challenges at the Anambra State governorship elections were inadequate to prompt the cancellation of the entire election.
He said, I assure that INEC will try everything possible to get it right with regards to the voter register before the 2015 elections."
