The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his wife and the state governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, were over the weekend disgraced as lights suddenly went off, throwing the entire hall into confusion and bringing the occasion into a halt for about five minutes.

The occasion was the 8th Minna choral Society annual festival of songs organized by the Minna Choral Society.

DailySun reported that there was unease as security agents and organisers of the event battled to restore power.

Some dignitaries at the occasion expressed disappointment over the embarrassment, blaming the organisers for relying solely on Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), against the usual practice of using a generator to power events of this sort at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre.

The organize of the event should not be blamed. FG should find solution to the electricity. In my area, we only use 1 hour of electricity per day yet they are still bringing bills like kilode

Yet, trillions of Naira... or even Dollars sunk into the Power sector in the last 17 years. What a wonder country!
