WAEC Announces 70% Pass in 2013 Examinations

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the May/June 2013 Senior Secondary School examination results. The results shows that out of the 1,689,188 candidates that registered for the examination, about 70% passed in at least 5 subjects which is the minimum requirement for entry into a higher institution in Nigeria.

The Head National Office of the Examination body, further stated that the results released so far is that of 1,543,683 candidates, which is just about 91.38 percent of those that registered, he said remaining results are experiencing slight delays because of some errors that were discovered in the course of processing them.
