The chairman of Chibok Local Government, Baana Lawan, had stated that he was unaware of the reported abduction of about 20 women in Borno State.
Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram were reported to have abducted about 20 women in a nomadic settlement known as Garkin Fulani.
The chairman, who was addressing the members of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaign Group, yesterday stated that he was unaware of the incident but added that he could only confirm of the incident that happened on Monday where a village near Chibok was razed down and two people confirmed dead.
