Traditional leaders in Lokoja, Kogi State, have stated that residents of the city were not involved in the stoning the governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on Friday at a Jumat prayer.
According to PUNCH, speaking at the Lokoja Day Celebration to mark the anniversary of Lokoja, the Walin Lokoja, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Idrisu (Rtd) said “Lokoja people are not trouble makers, because they believe leadership comes from Almighty God. So, we have no reason to stone any governor. It is not in our character. We have never stoned any governor.”
