Bafana Bafana player Keagan Dolly is upbeat that they are ready to face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier
South Africa will tomorrow in Cape Town, host the Super Eagles for second game of the qualifying series.
“I think it’s one of my dreams to play for my country and even more to face one of the top teams. I know what to expect and we are focused on our game plan,” Dolly was quoted as saying on Supersports.com
Dolly added that playing in front of their fans would spur the team but equally noted that they will have to work hard for it.
“Obviously, it gives me more confidence playing in front of friends and family but then we still have to work hard and take the game much more seriously than ever because Nigeria lost their first game.
“I have been watching Nigeria since my early childhood and they have always produced talented players and really good teams so it’s not going to be an easy game, but we will be ready.
“We have a good combination of young and experienced players even though everyone sees us as an inexperienced bunch, but we will grow in confidence and gain more experience as we play together.”
“Sudan was like a baptism of fire and for many of us, it was different, the playing surface, the fans, the temperature but we stuck to the instructions and I am happy to have come away with a winning debut."
