Fear has gripped residents of Port Harcourt in #Rivers State, following the death of a health worker in the state.
This is as the state government said that it was carrying out an investigation to ascertain the possible cause of the incident, especially as the deceased died of fever and diarrhea.
The state government stated that the investigation was being done by experts from the state Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the World Health Organisation, #WHO, the Federal Ministry of Health, and a United States-based group, the Elizabeth R. Griffin Foundation.
Some experts from the US-based group are currently in Port Harcourt, training medical personnel in government and private hospitals and clinics on how to detect and treat the dreaded Ebola virus.
