The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Abubakar has said clashes persist between herdsmen and local farmers because they largely occur in remote locations that lack police stations and outposts.
The IGP disclosed this in Abuja yesterday before going into a closed door meeting with Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) and Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) from the zonal commands.
The IGP said: “Remember most of these places if you check there are no existences of police stations or police post.”
