A woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for stabbing her husband to death because he refused to show her text messages on his phone.
According to Radar.ng, 36-year-old Fortunate Nsoro of Chitungwiza was charged with murder for stabbing 55-year-old Petros Mutasa to death in front of his 8-year-old daughter.
Reports say the couple were in their bedroom around 7:00pm on the day of the incident when Mutasa received a text message on his mobile phone.
Nsoro demanded to read the message, but her husband refused. He also refused to tell her the content of the message.
She nagged him until a fight broke out and Mutasa ended up beating his wife. Nsoro ran to the kitchen and returned armed with three kitchen knives, which she used to stab her husband to death in front of their daughter.
Nsoro was charged to court where she was convicted of culpable homicide and sentenced to serve 10 years in jail.
