According to a report from THISDAY Nigeria, construction work on second Niger bridge is set to commence before the end of the year.

The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), one of the concessionaires of the Second Niger Bridge yesterday revealed that construction work at the bridge would commence before the end of the year.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, NSIA, Mr. Uche Orji, said this while speaking at the launch of the 2014 Nigerian banking sector report by Afrinvest Securities Limited.
Orji, who was reacting to reports that the project, whose foundation was laid by President Goodluck Jonathan in March this year, had been abandoned, assured Nigerians that the project would not be abandoned.
