Sports World Cup door still open for Osaze Odemwingie - Keshi

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has revealed that the door is still open for Osaze Odemwingie to make a return to the national team ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Osaze last played for Nigeria in 2012 in a Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda, and has not featured since then.

Keshi said that the player stands a chance to be in Brazil, but he will first have a word with the Stoke City player.

“Keshi has said the door is still open for Osaze, but he will need to talk with the player before he could recall him to his team,” an official told MTNFootball.com

“He said this while he was defending his squad list for the Mexico friendly before the technical committee.

“Some of the top officials at the meeting said they wish to be at the clear-the-air talk with Osaze.”
