It was not a straightforward game for the Dutch team as was initially envisaged,with Holland making them to labour for the win.

But Australia who lost to Chile in their first game,responded to Holland's goal with even a better goal to behold.
Former Everton striker Tim Cahill was at the end of a cross to belt in a left-footed volley that made its way into the net. Apparently the best goal of the tournament so far.
Australia were motivated by that goal and Holland deflected. The Socceroos looked as though they would have scored and it was not surprising when they went in front in the second half.
Janmaat handled the ball in the box and Mile Jedinak stepped up to give Australia the lead,cooly converting from the spot.

However they clawed their way back,with Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie starting the comeback for the Dutch.
Van Persie met Wesley Sneijder's pass and made sure it was in the net,taking the scores to 2-2.
Memphis Depay tried his luck from range,finding the bottom-right corner to score the third goal for Louis Van Gaal's team.
Holland held on for the win and secured their second win in two matches,having scored eight goals,and with the victory,they could avoid playing the host country Brazil in the latter stages of the competition.
