General Officer Commanding the Nigerian Army’s 1st Division, Adeniyi Oyebade, a major general and some other senior officers have been indicted by the judicial panel report on the Zaria massacre.
According to an exclusive report by PREMIUM TIMES, Maj. Gen. Oyebade authorized last December’s military operation that massacred at least 347 members of the Shi’a Muslim group in Zaria. The judicial panel suggested that he be prosecuted.
The judicial panel also faulted the mass burial of the victims conducted by the state without any autopsy.
