A 10-year old Zimbabwean girl allegedly found $2 000 cash stash believed to have been hidden by corrupt police officers in a dump site. The child believed the money was a gift from the ancestral spirits and her family even consulted a spiritual healer to find out the purpose of the gift. However, before the family could enjoy their gift, news of the stash spread until the police was alerted.
The money has been taken into police custody and investigations have begun into unraveling the identity of the owner.
According to news24, Police spokesperson, Charity Charamba said the money belongs to corrupt police officials who mount road blocks and extort motorist. Charamba added that the officials will be arrested once their identities were unraveled.
