Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Bubakar Kyari, issued a stern warning to commodity traders against hoarding and speculative trading, emphasizing the government's efforts to bolster food production in Nigeria.

Speaking at a special Ramadan lecture in Abuja, Kyari highlighted the detrimental impact of hoarding on food prices, attributing it to exacerbating the existing challenges in the agricultural sector.

He denounced the practice and urged fairness in attributing blame, stating that singling out individuals like Bola Tinubu was unjust to the government's efforts. Stressing the need for collective responsibility, Kyari reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring food security while tackling insecurity head-on.

Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Aliyu Abdullahi, echoed these sentiments, urging Muslims to pray for the nation's leaders and emphasizing the government's dedication to addressing economic challenges.

Sheik Muhammad Kabir emphasized integrity and constructive participation in nation-building, while Mufutau Yinusa highlighted the lecture's role in supporting the administration and grassroots outreach.

Realwan Okpanachi, director-general of Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023, expressed confidence in Nigeria's ability to overcome challenges, drawing inspiration from President Bola Tinubu's leadership experience.
