Addressing the Secretary to the State Government on Wednesday, they attributed their decision to Akeredolu's untimely death.
Olatunde expressed deep respect for Akeredolu, citing the late governor's leadership qualities as an inspiration throughout his tenure. Aragbaye, in his resignation letter, referred to Akeredolu as a fearless and honest leader, stating loyalty even in death.
Akeredolu passed away in Germany at 67. In a separate development, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been sworn in as the substantive governor of Ondo State at the Government House, Alagbaka, Akure, marking a new chapter in the state's leadership following Akeredolu's demise.
