The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Korede Keisha, announced during a press briefing held in Lagos that the demolition of buildings along the right of way of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road is scheduled to commence this Saturday.
Keisha emphasized the importance of residents whose houses are marked for demolition to visit the ministry’s secretariat in Lagos to address necessary procedures. The demolition team is expected to start removing marked properties on Saturday morning, focusing on the first three kilometers of the project corridor.
Minister of Works Dave Umahi recently disclosed that the construction of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road, spanning 700 kilometers, is anticipated to last eight years and cost N15 trillion, with each kilometer estimated at N4 billion. S
