The Yoruba epic film "Beast of Two Worlds (Ajakaju)" has made a remarkable debut in Nigerian cinemas, grossing a staggering ₦101.2 million within its first five days of release.

Distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, the movie garnered significant attention and trust from Nigerian audiences, reflecting the nation's enthusiasm for indigenous cinema. With an impressive opening weekend earning of ₦63.2 million, the film surpassed expectations, setting a new record as the highest-grossing Nollywood release of the year. Notably, "Beast of Two Worlds" outperformed the Hollywood blockbuster "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire," which premiered concurrently.

Despite awaiting official data from the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) regarding the film's first-week performance, its success is undeniable. Co-produced by Anthill Studios and Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao, the epic, directed by Adebayo Tijani and Odunlade Adekola, presents a gripping tale of royal desperation and chaos, featuring an illustrious cast including Sola Sobowale, Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, Mercy Aigbe, and others.
