Atalanta President Antonio Percassi has confirmed that Ademola Lookman is not for sale in the January transfer window. The Nigerian forward has been in superb form, netting 10 goals and 5 assists in 16 appearances. Atalanta plans to extend his contract, which runs until 2026.
Atalanta President Antonio Percassi has firmly stated that the club will not part ways with Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman in the upcoming January transfer window. Despite Lookman’s impressive performances for the team, including 10 goals and five assists in just 16 appearances this season, Atalanta is not looking to sell him.

Lookman has been a standout player for Atalanta, particularly after his impressive showing in last season’s UEFA Europa League, which caught the attention of top European clubs like PSG, Manchester United, and Chelsea. However, despite strong interest, the club opted to hold onto the 27-year-old winger.

Percassi reinforced the club’s stance after Lookman’s match-winning performance in their 2-1 victory against AC Milan. He confirmed that Atalanta’s plans for the January transfer window do not include selling key players like Lookman.

The Nigerian international, who joined Atalanta in 2022, still has a contract that runs until 2026, and discussions are already underway to extend his stay at the club. If Lookman refuses to sign an extension, Atalanta may have to reconsider their position in the future, potentially selling him next summer.

With his current form and value rising, Atalanta is determined to keep Lookman for the foreseeable future, thwarting any transfer plans for now.
