Former Nigerian presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed concerns about President Bola Tinubu's academic records from Chicago State University. Atiku's media aide, Paul Ibe, stated that there are doubts about what Tinubu might be concealing regarding his educational history.
This comes in response to a court order from the Northern District of Illinois instructing Chicago State University to release Tinubu's academic records within two days. The order was issued as part of a case initiated by Atiku, challenging Tinubu's victory in the presidential election held on February 25.
Tinubu's legal team has filed a motion stating that a magistrate should only report and recommend to the district judge in such cases, rather than making a final order for immediate compliance. Ibe emphasized that Atiku's position on Tinubu's academic records would become clear soon. He added, "It should be now obvious even to the blind that Tinubu is hiding something in his records at the Chicago State University, and even elsewhere. I do hope whatever it may be, it will not be of a scope that will give Nigerians a heart attack. Nigerians will soon see the true position of Atiku on the records of Tinubu at CSU. It is just a matter of time."
