In a meeting held at the MultiChoice office, Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, along with her legal representative and industry stakeholders, rejected offers proposed by the show sponsors regarding her prize wins.
Phyna's refusal comes after she called out the show organisers on Instagram for not receiving some of her prizes, including 1BTC valued at over ₦90 million and a trip for two.
The Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit-making and Influencers Guild of Nigeria (PCCSIGN) also intervened, demanding prize fulfilment from sponsors. While agreements with Pepsi and Unik Soap are set for delivery, Phyna and PCCSIGN rejected offers from Travelbeta and Quidax Global, citing concerns over negligence and exchange rate discrepancies.
The deadlock persists as negotiations continue between Phyna, PCCSIGN, and BBNaija sponsors.
