The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has initiated an investigation into Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for alleged money spraying.
The 31-year-old was summoned by the EFCC following a video report depicting him spraying and displaying bundles of new Naira notes at the premiere of the movie "Ajakaju," produced by Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao, on March 24, 2024, at Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos.
Further investigation revealed similar incidents at other event centers and parties on separate occasions. Bobrisky complied with the EFCC's invitation and appeared at the Lagos Zonal Command on Wednesday, April 4, 2024, where he provided voluntary statements during interrogation. Upon the conclusion of the investigation, Bobrisky will be prosecuted accordingly.
The EFCC's swift action underscores its commitment to upholding financial regulations and ensuring accountability.
