Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, who represents the Southern Borno senatorial district, has urgently called for a collaborative effort between the military and the youth of Gwoza to counteract the escalating violence in the region. He emphasized the importance of local involvement and urged the youth to actively participate in the fight against Boko Haram, as seen in other local government areas.

Ndume also highlighted the concerning trend of local youths joining the ranks of Boko Haram and emphasized the need for increased military presence in Gwoza. The ongoing threat has instilled fear among residents, hindering economic activities and preventing farmers from tending to their crops.
