President Bola Tinubu is set to attend the Saudi-Africa Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, departing Abuja on Thursday for the event scheduled on November 10, 2023. With a focus on attracting more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and expanding business partnerships, Tinubu aims to highlight Nigeria's commitment to economic reforms during the summit. The discussions at the summit will cover joint actions, political coordination, regional security threats, economic transformation through research, and the development of new energy solutions, fostering cross-sectoral investment cooperation.
Accompanying President Tinubu are key officials including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Education, Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, and Budget and Economic Planning. The delegation also includes the National Security Adviser, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, and the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
Ajuri Ngelale, the special adviser to the president, media and publicity, emphasized that the President's participation in the summit aligns with Nigeria's pursuit of international investments and economic growth. After the conclusion of the summit, President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja.
