In a recent development, a Bolt driver, Kelechi Uzor, voluntarily turned himself in to the police in Rivers State in response to the disappearance of a young lady, Miss Elizabeth Edoukumor. Elizabeth went missing on October 9, 2023, after being dropped off by Uzor at Harmony Estate in Obio-Akpor Local Government area of the state.

Elizabeth's family made a plea for information about her on social media, as she had left her aunt's place at Harmony Estate but never made it home. Her last known location was at Harmony Estate, and her phone had become unreachable and switched off.

Uzor, accompanied by a human rights activist, Prince Wiro, visited the Okporo Police Station to deny any involvement in the lady's disappearance. He explained that he had provided a ride to Elizabeth Edoukumor on October 9th, taking her to Harmony Estate.

After dropping her off, he received calls from individuals inquiring about her whereabouts. Uzor, however, maintained that he was only responsible for transportation and was not privy to her conversations.

Wiro advised the missing girl's family to report the case to the police rather than arranging a private meeting with the Bolt driver, emphasizing the importance of involving law enforcement in such cases. Uzor's decision to contact the police came after receiving persistent calls and threats from the missing woman's family, including someone claiming to be the girl's uncle.
