The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered an investigation into the death of fast-rising Nigerian singer, Mohbad. The directive was given to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made this announcement on his social media account, sharing pictures of the IGP and the Lagos CP in discussion. The IGP and CP Lagos deliberated on the matter at the Police Airwing, Muritala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja Lagos.
According to Adejobi, the IGP promised full support to CP Lagos in carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's death. The police are determined to uncover the truth and address any uncertainties surrounding the case.
