At the 2024 Brit Awards, Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema faced disappointment as they failed to secure awards.
Nominated in the Best International Act of the Year category, Burna Boy and Asake lost to American star SZA.
Rema's 'Calm Down' also missed out on the Best International Song of the Year award, which went to Miley Cyrus for 'Flowers.'
Despite the setbacks, Rema concluded the ceremony with an electrifying performance of his hit song.
Notably, he became the second African artist to perform at the BRITs, following Burna Boy in 2019.
Meanwhile, Raye set a record for the most wins in one year at the BRITs, securing six awards, including Best New Artist, Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year.
The BRIT Awards, hosted at London’s 02 Arena, are an annual celebration of popular music presented by the British Phonographic Industry.
