Singer Cassie and hip-hop mogul Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, have reportedly reached an amicable settlement a day after Cassie filed a lawsuit accusing Combs of rape and physical abuse. Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, claimed in the suit that Combs subjected her to over a decade of coercion through physical force and drugs, including an alleged rape in 2018. A lawyer for Combs vehemently denied the allegations.

The parties announced on Friday evening that they had agreed to resolve the case, but the settlement terms were not disclosed. In statements, both Cassie and Combs expressed a desire to settle the matter amicably. Cassie thanked her family, fans, and lawyers for their support, while Combs wished Cassie and her family all the best.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Manhattan, detailed disturbing scenes of alleged violence by Combs, including forcing Cassie to engage in sex acts with male sex workers, which she claims he filmed. Combs, in turn, accused Cassie of blackmail, asserting that her goal was to tarnish his reputation and secure a financial payout
