The legal saga surrounding Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has taken a dramatic turn as his counsel reveals that the stringent bail conditions have been met. This development comes after VDM's arrest, initiated by Tonto Dikeh over allegations of defamation and claims linking her to an anonymous blog, Gistlover.

In a widely circulated video on social media, VDM's lawyer pointed fingers at three prominent figures—Tonto Dikeh, Samklef, and Iyabo Ojo—as the driving forces behind his client's arrest. Alleging that they were motivated by resentment over a previous legal confrontation, the lawyer's assertions have stirred controversy and speculation.

According to the lawyer, the conditions for VDM's bail were remarkably strict. They demanded the involvement of two high-ranking government officials, a requirement seemingly fulfilled by VDM's family. However, bureaucratic hurdles persisted as the "overall boss" needed for final approval was reportedly unavailable.

Additionally, reports suggest that the bail conditions extended to a businessman with property in Abuja, mandating the surrender of his passport for a year and a staggering sum of N200 million. These conditions underscore the gravity of the situation surrounding VDM's case.

Despite the legal complexities, VDM's lawyer expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from his followers, particularly acknowledging the solidarity displayed during a recent encounter with Davido in London. He affirmed the intention to pursue due process while hinting at the possibility of protests, both online and offline, should bail continue to be denied.

However, reactions to the lawyer's revelations have been mixed. While some question the validity of VDM's allegations and criticize his past behavior, others express skepticism regarding the effectiveness of his defense strategy.
