In a harrowing sequence of events, 26-year-old Scarlet Blake faces a life sentence after live-streaming the gruesome dissection of a family pet, mirroring a Netflix documentary. Months later, she murdered Jorge Martin Carreno, 30, in Oxford, revealing a disturbing fixation with violence.

Scarlet Blake, found guilty of murder, entered Oxford Crown Court on Monday, admitting to her chilling crimes. The court heard that, influenced by the Netflix documentary "Don't F*** With Cats," Blake live-streamed the torturous dissection of a cat, displaying a disturbing interest in violence.

Prosecutors revealed Blake's "fixation with violence" led her to find Jorge Martin Carreno, whom she murdered in July 2021. The BMW factory worker's body was discovered in the River Cherwell, a day after he walked home alone.

Mr. Justice Chamberlain described Blake's acts as a "grotesque act of cruelty." Her sentencing to a minimum of 24 years in prison highlighted the judge's belief that the murder was the culmination of a premeditated plan.

Blake, born in China, blamed her former partner, Ashlynn Bell, for the cat's killing. Despite pleading guilty to criminal damage for the cat incident, Blake denied murdering Mr. Martin Carreno.

The court heard Blake's disturbing confession of killing the cat, including suspending it by the neck with a ligature, cutting out its heart, and placing it in a blender.

Detective Superintendent Jon Capps condemned the "barbaric and chilling act" of Mr. Martin Carreno's murder, emphasizing the family's dignity throughout the ordeal.

CCTV footage revealed Mr. Martin Carreno's tragic encounter with Blake, depicting a person with a "fixation with violence." Blake, who claimed the victim was alive when she left him, blamed her ex-partner for fabricating details.

The family paid tribute to Mr. Martin Carreno, highlighting his passion and kindness, leaving a profound wound in their hearts. Blake is set to serve her sentence in a men's prison.
