In Lagos, a tragic incident unfolded as Emmanuel Chukwuma, 47, was apprehended by police for allegedly fatally stabbing his pregnant partner, Bosede Adefehinti, in their Festac residence on Monday, June 24, 2024. The couple, cohabiting at the time, engaged in a heated dispute after Chukwuma confronted Adefehinti for accepting a phone call from her ex-boyfriend.
According to a confessional video obtained by Instablog9ja, Chukwuma claimed that the argument escalated when Adefehinti allegedly attacked him with a knife. In self-defense, he wrestled the knife away and, in the ensuing struggle, fatally wounded her.
Eyewitnesses recounted the scene, noting that Chukwuma fled to a nearby well upon realizing the severity of his actions, but concerned bystanders managed to extricate him and turn him over to law enforcement. Currently detained at Festac Police Station, Chukwuma faces serious charges related to the incident.
Adefehinti, a businesswoman and the primary breadwinner for their household, was pregnant with their first child together, having previously had twins from a former relationship.
