The Kaduna state government has confirmed a devastating incident in Kidandan community, Giwa Local Government Area, where an explosion claimed one life and left ten others injured on Saturday afternoon. Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, revealed that preliminary reports suggested a pupil learning under a local cleric inadvertently triggered the explosion while handling an object picked up from the bush. The deceased, identified as Zaidu Usman, and the injured victims are currently receiving medical attention at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika – Zaria.Governor Uba Sani expressed shock and sadness, extending condolences to the victims and their families.
