Sean "Diddy" Combs is set to remain in custody as his federal sex trafficking trial has been scheduled for May 5, 2025. The rapper, who was arrested on September 16, faces serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. During a recent court appearance in Manhattan, Judge Robyn Tarnofsky ordered that he remain incarcerated while awaiting trial after Combs pleaded not guilty to a 14-page federal indictment.

The allegations against the 54-year-old rapper include the sexual abuse of over 120 individuals, notably involving a 9-year-old boy. Diddy appeared in court wearing a beige outfit, and discussions around his bail status continued, with two judges previously denying his release due to concerns he might flee.

Combs' attorney, Marc Agnifilo, raised issues regarding alleged leaks from federal agents about the case and sought to prevent the introduction of a video depicting Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, in 2016. However, prosecutor Emily Johnson dismissed these claims, asserting they were attempts to exclude crucial evidence.

If convicted, Diddy faces a potential life sentence for racketeering and a minimum of 15 years for the sex trafficking charge, highlighting the severity of the allegations against him as the trial approaches.
