Retired Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Theophilus Danjuma, expressed a shift in his perspective on female leadership, citing a past female minister of petroleum whom he accuses of excelling in corruption. While inaugurating the Goodwill Medical Centre in Enugu, Danjuma refrained from naming the minister but emphasized the alleged corruption record.

The event was marked by Danjuma's praise for Prof. Uche Amazigo, a pro-poor public health specialist, and her role in spearheading the medical center. Danjuma, now reassured by Prof. Amazigo, expressed renewed faith in women's ability to manage public funds.

The medical center aims to offer quality healthcare, with an emphasis on providing low-cost treatment for indigent patients and enrolling them in a comprehensive health insurance program. Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, pledged to safeguard the facility for the benefit of the state's residents, acknowledging the leadership exemplified by both Danjuma and Amazigo
