In the Kogi governorship election, Dino Melaye, the PDP governorship candidate, secured victory in his polling unit, Ayetoro-Gbede.
Melaye garnered over 200 votes, while the APC candidate, Ahmed Ododo, received only 22 votes. Leke Abejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) trailed with 7 votes.
The announced results at Melaye's polling unit reflected a notable victory for the PDP. However, the unit experienced a low voter turnout, accrediting 252 out of 819 registered voters. It is noteworthy that Dino Melaye and his supporters boycotted the exercise, alleging the predetermined outcome of the governorship election.
