Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, has admonished Bola Tinubu to break away from the tradition of being a "Mourner-in-Chief" in response to crises.
Dogara, accompanied by current and former House members, conveyed this counsel during a condolence visit to Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Mutfwang, following the recent massacre in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi.
Dogara stressed the imperative for Tinubu to employ all coercive apparatus in locating and bringing justice to perpetrators of violence nationwide. Emphasizing that the Commander-in-Chief must act decisively, Dogara urged concerted efforts against the escalating violence, challenging the President to translate condolences into tangible actions against culprits.
Governor Mutfwang echoed concerns about the orchestrated violence, calling for leaders to unite to address root causes and provide solutions to end the prolonged attacks in Plateau.
