Dubai princess Sheikha Mahra publicly announced her divorce from Sheikh Mana on Instagram, citing his preoccupation with other companions. The shocking revelation came just two months after the birth of their first child, with the princess removing all photos of her husband from her social media accounts.
Dubai princess Sheikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced her divorce from Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum through a dramatic Instagram post. The announcement came just over two months after the couple welcomed their first child.
Sheikha Mahra married Sheikh Mana, an Emirati businessman, in May last year. Their union, which initially appeared joyful, took a surprising turn when the princess declared her divorce on Instagram, citing her husband's preoccupation with other companions.
The post read, "Dear husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife."
This announcement shocked royal fans and followers. The princess also removed all photos featuring her husband from her Instagram account.
In May, she had shared joyous moments from the hospital after giving birth to their daughter, thanking the medical staff for making it a memorable experience. In those now-deleted photos, Sheikh Mana was seen by her side, cradling their newborn.
The couple's relationship seemed strong initially, with a public gender reveal party in February and a heartfelt announcement of their pregnancy five months after their Nikah ceremony.
However, by June, Sheikha Mahra shared a post featuring herself and her baby alone, captioned "Just the two of us," indicating possible marital issues.
Sheikha Mahra is the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, and Zoe Grigorakos, who hails from Greece.
