The EFCC has declared 26-year-old Ibrahim Mohammed wanted for allegedly stealing and illegally possessing the agency's vehicle. The anti-corruption commission seeks public help in locating him, urging anyone with information to report to the nearest EFCC office or police station.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared a 26-year-old man, Ibrahim Mohammed, wanted for allegedly stealing and illegally possessing a vehicle belonging to the agency.
In a statement released on Friday by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Wale Oyewale, it was announced that Mohammed, an indigene of Jada Local Government Area in Adamawa State, is currently being sought by the anti-corruption agency. While the EFCC did not specify whether Mohammed was a staff member or how he came into possession of the vehicle, the agency urged the public to assist with any information on his whereabouts.
The suspect's last known address was identified as 56 Japa Bariki Road, Adamawa State. The EFCC called on anyone with useful information to contact their nearest office, which includes locations in major cities such as Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt, or report to any police station or security agency.
This development comes as the EFCC continues its efforts to recover the stolen vehicle and apprehend Mohammed. The agency's announcement has generated significant public interest, with many wondering how such an incident occurred within the ranks of Nigeria's foremost anti-corruption body.
The EFCC is appealing for cooperation from the public to ensure that Mohammed is brought to justice.
