Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has spoken publicly for the first time since his departure. In a preview of his SEG Stories podcast interview, he reflects on his time at Old Trafford and his future coaching plans, confirming he won’t take a new role before July.

Erik ten Hag has finally addressed his departure from Manchester United, four months after being dismissed as head coach. The Dutchman, who guided the club to FA Cup and Carabao Cup victories, has been without a managerial role since being replaced by Ruben Amorim.

Despite speculation linking him to Borussia Dortmund and a potential return to Ajax, Ten Hag has yet to make his next move. However, in an upcoming interview on the SEG Stories podcast, he opens up about his experience at Old Trafford and what he misses most about England.

A teaser for the interview, set to be released on Tuesday, reveals Ten Hag's reflections on his time at United and his future plans. He emphasized the challenges of coaching at the highest level and acknowledged that while his tenure had highs and lows, improvement is always possible.

"I made up my mind not to take on a new role until July 1," he stated. "If there's anything I truly miss, it's Old Trafford. You're always working towards a goal, but it always feels just out of reach."

With the summer approaching, Ten Hag is expected to be in high demand across Europe, with several clubs closely monitoring his next step.
