In response to recent reports, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) clarified that the ban on the use of "Ghana Must Go" bags was issued by Ethiopian Airlines, not FAAN.

These waterproof bags, popular among Nigerian travelers for their affordability and durability, faced restrictions due to concerns about potential damage to conveyor belts and associated costs for airlines.

Ethiopian Airlines emphasized the prohibition, stating that passengers must pack these bags in cartons or hardcover rectangular containers to avoid damage to airport infrastructure.

This move follows a similar ban in Dubai six years ago, reflecting ongoing efforts to address challenges associated with oversized bags in the aviation industry.
