Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, insists on a paternity test to determine his grandson's true lineage, stating that they don't accept "bastards" in their community. This demand comes amid an ongoing debate regarding the need for a DNA test in the investigation into Mohbad's death.

Aloba is willing to provide consent for the DNA test and is open to designating a representative if he cannot be present during the procedure. He emphasizes that the test should be conducted at two distinct locations to eliminate any doubt regarding the result.

He stated, "Even if they do it, it must be done in two or three places so we can know the truth. We don't accept bastards." Mr. Aloba also expressed his hope that the child is indeed Mohbad's, as the late singer left him as the only child. However, he stresses the importance of determining the truth for the future and to prevent any misunderstandings.

Regarding the autopsy, Aloba mentions that it is taking longer than expected but that it is being conducted as many Nigerians demanded. He plans to inquire about the progress of the autopsy with a senior police officer to ensure that Mohbad can be buried.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried in Ikorodu, Lagos. His corpse was later exhumed for an autopsy following orders from the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, after it was revealed that a quack nurse's treatment led to the singer's death
