FCT police refer man who climbed mast for mental evaluation; faces charges if stable.
Shuaibu Alhaji Yushau, who climbed a broadband mast in Abuja's Katampe area on July 8, 2024, prompting public concern, has been referred by the FCT Police to undergo a mental evaluation at the Social Development Secretariat (SDS).
If deemed mentally stable, he faces charges of attempted suicide, public disturbance, and incitement. FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, urges residents to express grievances lawfully.
